“In this, our first-ever Canada Issue you will read stories that are not that different than your typical WILDFIRE Magazine issue. We have all been diagnosed young with breast cancer. Some of us have been diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC). Some of us are mothers parenting with cancer. Some of us are looking for answers as to why cancer came so early in life. All of us are dealing with the aftermath of a breast cancer diagnosis. An international border separates us from our American counterparts, an ocean from our farther-flung compatriots, but many of the struggles of being diagnosed with breast cancer young are universal, regardless of where you are from. My hope for this issue is to introduce you to these fierce women and showcase their Canadian perspectives.” ~ Emily Piercell, guest editor.
