Emily was diagnosed with Stage III triple positive breast cancer at 27-years-old during the summer after finishing law school. Since being called to the Bar, Emily has made a career shift to supporting young women diagnosed with cancer through her previous work at Rethink Breast Cancer and currently at Pink Pearl Canada. At Wildfire, Emily is focused on supporting our community through the monthly free writing workshops, a Wildfire collection of stories in book form, supporting the needs of our Canadian customers, as well as other projects. Along with working at Wildfire Magazine, she is on the board of AYA CAN - Canadian Cancer Advocacy, is the Community Manager for Pink Pearl Canada, and is the Director of Patient Teachers and Facilitator for the Patient as Teacher program. Emily lives in Toronto, Canada, with her husband and two Siamese cats.
